The Courage to Be Seen

This is an invitation to actors, artists, and anyone willing to take the mask off and be seen.

The Courage to Be Seen

We spend much of our lives wearing masks.

Masks to be perfect.

Masks to be liked.

Masks to protect ourselves from being seen.

What I wish for more than anything, is that you could see yourself the way I see you.

In 2025, director David Nutter, guest speaker at our Parler Avec event, gave us a tremendous gift. He simply said,

“Take your mask off. We just want to see you.”

This is your work.

The willingness to be seen.

Be the protagonist of your own story.

Be true to yourself, no matter the cost.

That’s how evolution begins.

In 2026, I’m inviting you to take your mask off.

Face what you see.

Take your place.

Make your mark.

Don’t fit the mold.

Embrace and accept what makes you original.

Shine, unapologetically.

Be uniquely who you are.

Joseph Campbell said it best:

“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.”

I want to see you.

With love,

Alice Carter
